I look to my friends and see something I never knew before
I look within myself and remember things I never knew before
I pray for peace, yet I get sorrow
I hope for tranquility, yet I get heartbreak
I've lived what seems a thousand life times over
and I've learned to live with the pain and heartbreak
...but not yet the disappointment
but yet I'm happy
for my friends, family and loved ones have
the peace I prayed for
and the tranquility I hoped for
and their happiness puts my heart and soul
and a small bit of my mind...
at something I had once forgotten
...ease...now we reflect on this, for I know now
I was never alone...

I'm glad you enjoyed it, I felt the same way when I wrote this, And I try to put my emotions into everything I write, so those who read it, I hope feel what I felt at the time my pen hit the paper.
