A FUTURE FULL OF HOPE
The skyline, which I can view from my San Francisco Bay apartment window
Appears to be full of blue gray storm clouds.
In the distance thunder sounds as a storm draws closer.
Suddenly we are startled as a loud boom makes itself known.
Rain begins to fall heavily, splattering against the windowsill.
Though there is much turmoil going on outside
Inside I feel at peace for the first time.
For you, my love, are at last in my arms.
My lips seek yours in a gentle kiss.
Passion soon ignites as we make love once again.
All those years of wondering,
Of the struggles we faced,
All the fears,
The worries…
Are now gone.
For that was yesterday,
Yesterdays are now memories
While today…
Today is ours to do with as we wish.
Tomorrow is our future
So full of possibilities
As I watch you now sleeping within my passion, damp arms.
For the first time in my life
I now know that the future is worth living
For you my love, will be with me.

Very good but lenghty poem Trek Girl!
SO you're a Star Trek fan, too? I always wanted to write that kind of story, evern since I was 27. Do you belong to a fan club? Smefan clubs, including the one I belong to, need more members. And so many, incluiding the one I belong to, are a chapter of STAR FLEET, International. -
