Gold - Eight Belles Rang In Heaven
Eight Belles
rang in heaven
the day of her fate,
She was called by God
to step through
his gates,
forevermore
running painlessly
in the pastures
of his land.

OMG CAra, congratulations on the gold. Having been involved in thoroughbred horses and racing for most of my life, and witnessing winners being put down on the track your words brought tears to my eyes. I'm sorry I missed this one, but I was away on vacation. IT would not have compared to your creativity. Just heartbreaking and penned with love!
Much love,
Linda XOXO

Hmm... i think this was unique and interesting... wonderful pictures were painted in my mind! Very sad write though, tragic tale told... but written in a fascinating way!
Keep penning words of brilliance as you do!
