The dragon
Scaled and spiked
Fear inspired in many a heart
The cold hard stare
Scarcely moving
Breathing fire
The great demon
A fire-breathing, heartless monster
The killer
Cold-shelled and murderous
The fairy
A gentle beam of blue-tinted light
Delicate and lacy
Moth wings shimmering
Tinkling voice
Freezing
Helpless and alone
He her great protector
The soft underbelly beneath the iron coat
Hold a speck of light close
To the darkness
With wonder they gaze upon each other
She the rose
He the thorn.
