Eyes of green penetrate darkness, her flaming
hair of red captured his heart with emotion tangled
as a field of brier rose. One day's passion shared
embrace and tremble in clouds that float in open sky.
Desires pleasure build like lighting flash in the
king's canopy bed hidden in silent wood with only
song bird trills that hang on the wind.
The mirrored chest reflect memorized moments
given to each other in heated mania as a child
conceived and beloved grows restless. God loans
souls together, care for this flower that bloom
and grace the vase. He will sit in the window while
fairy stories of this world are read bring wisdom
to this small heart.
The patter of small feet grow to wear boots and
search fields for life's partner in shared pleasure.
Forest glen gathers new vows promised in rapture
to tie love together with thread spun from light
reflected moon beams as another baby child
is born and laid in the kings canopy bed.

Outstanding
This is a passionate poem that finds beauty in lifes rich tapestry. I liked your choice of language and how the romance in the first stanza results in children - the perfect complement to love. This poem reflects the inevitability of life, how the next generation moves on to find love and how time moves on. This poem is uplifting and read like a short history. Congratulations on the trophy.

"Forest glen gathers new vows promised in rapture

I especially liked the vivid visuals attained through these lines, Poet. A shattering, shuddering, strengthening rapture it is, this intensity of truest love. Thank you for entering my contest. Good luck.

i have not looked at the picture, i will after i have finished this comment. but i imagine someone, royalty with king, in the bedroom, a light scene full of colour and sounds.
you go into a lot of detail here so that gives me a good overall image in my mind. i am thinking a young king now rather than someone older, someone yet to flow into the realm he resides over. a good poem.
