My Jellybean

The first picture was black and white
And there you were, my Jellybean
So much excitement and much more delight.

Jellybean so sweet,

Jellybean so tiny,

Jellybean with feet,

Jellybean with heiny.

Jellybean will grow,

Jellybean will move,

Jellybean will show,

Her Jellybeany groove.

Jellybean will dance,

And Jellybean will giggle,

Jellybean will prance,

And Jellybean will wiggle.

Jellybean will become a tiny little girl,

Who then will become the center of my world.

Jellybean will cry,

And Jellybean will whine,

Jellybean will try

To make everything be "mine".

Jellybean will crawl

And explore the world around.

Jellybean will fall,

But I'll pick her off the ground.

My Jellybean, she will always be

So sweet and precious not only to me,

But to all who have met

My Jellybean.

This was sooo cute and sweet. I like the simple almost child like language used for this poem. I really enjoyed the imagery of all the things "jellybean" will do

    Welcome to AP

  • This is sooooooooooooo cute... and she is a cute little Jellybean...

  • Welcome to allpoety

This is so very sweet. My only suggestion is instead of using the jellybean for every line, use it just at the beginning of each stanza so that it would be:

    Jellybean will gry
    will whine
    will try
    to make everything be 'mine'

Sometimes repitition can be overly so, so always becareful of that. I am sure your little one will be tickled to read this some day.

I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.

    God Bless
