Mirror

I turn around to see what I can see
but all I see is serpents of silver and gold
I hear someone call me
but when I turn to ask 'who's there?'
I find I'm alone.
I see a book laying upon the ground
but its rhymes keep their secrets close at heart
behind the rainbow's ear
the serpents chase another's tale
both telling the other to show no fear
for fear of vanishing to myth
faster they spin as they chase their tales
in neverending flying fantasy
faster in unending eternity
till they merge as smooth as glass
and call "by Orin's coil mirror forged"
I look to the mirror
but I only see my greatest enemy
the one I can never escape
but once that enemy falls
to thee, then the gift
the gift of a new day
will be upon my hands.

Author notes

sort sweet and I still never care if there's a point.

I ask not what you think, but what you felt?
