I think I would like to walk a river shore
living the day in musings and nothing more
Watch a crane swoop though heavy summer air
as dragonflies flit about without a care
Feeling a soft wind blow through my hair.
Perhaps skinny dipping if I dare.
Watch slow water as time ticks away
letting things be whatever they may.
I watch dust devils whirl away
a short lived life that can never stay.
In clear reflections I see me face.
The years gone buy are leaving their trace.
I will walk to that Autumn with glad embrace
I am simply flowing through this time and space
I know nothing will be as it was before
I think I would like to walk a river shore
