.

we counted each star
in the violet sky; sharing a smile

for each inky dream.

.

& when winter came,
your eyes were brighter than

murky black, lighter than
soft lavender;

they were the same color
as the violet skies- exploded.

.

& as your iris danced-
I knew you were my world,

my violet sky.

    ooo

    I love the imagery and the sweet feeling from this poem. The flow was smooth and it read like a dream which is so real.

    I think I know whom this is about. It is such a soft read that it is perfect for a day when nothing is going right. Maybe you can come up with something. Beat of luck in the contest!

    loveees,
