The Bishop, his eye on pomp,
Tripped over circumstance
And fell on his profundament.

I like the play on words in the first two lines, but I have a question about the word "profundament". Forgive my ignorance, but I'll need some clarification, because it appears to be a foreign word, and I can find no definitive meaning for it. Thanks so much for entering my contest!

Thanks
It'just a silly enjambment of "profound" and "fundament" to go along with the basic silliness of the piece. It could freely be defined as "self-important ass." -

Ah, yes! In that case, I can see it working very well indeed, and the picture painted becomes clear.
Thanks!
