his words came quick and SHARP (CUTTING more then RAZORS ever would)

blood seaped down his face
it glimmered in the firelight
a faint dim was cast on the woman,
lying cold on the stone floor;
throat slit,
clothes saturated in her own blood
as the light played off her face
he bent down
a look of despair softening the edges of his rough face,
everything up to that point was a complete waste.
he collasped to his knees.

Sweeney looked at Ms Lovett
tears whelemed in the corners of her eyes,
Sweeneys gaze lay upon her face;
it was as cold and hard as ever.
then his eyes shifted to her neck, oh so perfect.
he stared and stared,
excuses poured out of Ms Lovetts mouth faster then blood from his dead wifes throat
as Ms Lovetts voice quickened,
he turned to Lucy,
his precious Lucy.
willing her to come alive,
but still and dead she lay.

Ms Lovett begged him to understand,
the reasons and logic behind her hideous act stopped,
and the truth came;
the words that said the love she felt so deeply for him.
the words that tried to justify how his wife was better dead
the words that Sweeney knew would never fix a thing.

Sweeneys eyes mixed with boiling anger,
blinding rage,
and a phycotic mallice;
left Ms Lovetts heart in fear like she'd never felt before.
his eyes were hard and determined
his voice filled with cold disdain
his words came quick and sharp
cutting more then razors ever would
Sweeney grasped her arm,
dragging her down with him,
they danced swiftly
as the violins build around them.
the fire from the oven burnt a hole in Sweeneys words of harshness;
but his tone was as bitter as ever.

ignoring this,
Ms Lovetts voice brimned with a flicker hope
she stares at Sweeneys bloodied face
she smiles through the red,
still not noticing how the flames of fury lick his eyes
ignorant to the intensity in his voice
they sing the last two lines in unison.
a chorus of bittersweet hope and ever lasting anger.

Sweeney takes hold of Ms Lovett in a cold embrace
he thrusts her into the pit where she will burn with the rest without the slightest hint of hesitation.
the fear and painic highlight her features in the wall raging fire
then her screams of immense pain echo in the room,
Sweeney, still in a fury of pure disgust
closes the oven door with all his might,
letting the fire swallow what last bit of revenge he still held in his heavy heart.

    HORRAY for Sweeney Todd!

    I love Sweeney Todd! I really want to see it on Broadway. Nicely written piece. It really captures the story of Sweeney Todd well. Keep up the good work!
