Solitary

   Placed on your pedestal

   You rendered me unreachable

             Solitary became my soul

   I fall forward

          to beckoning blackness

   Free me...

This is something I've never seemed to be able to do: pack so much power into so few words. This was great. Thank you for this.

I am constantly amazed by you. To be able to express so much in so few words is a gift for which you have my eternal envy. I love the loneliness in this and the yearning...excellent.

And here I thought I was an .

hmmmmm ... human? heh HUMAN? heh

Telekinesis will save the day ... as it can be used to keep you upon said pedestal or drift you down safely.

But, I'd say, if you want to be free, be proactive, free yourself from the restraints of the pedestal.

    Congrats on da bronze!

  • Pedestals are evil, evil I tell you! They distance us from the world and although that is sometimes for the better it is not something one would want forever. Beautiful write as always.

    Good take.

    Can be so true.

  • It is but truly a lonely place and also one were expectations are never met. A lovely piece of sadness presented in its brevity.
    Good luck
