A lingering horrific laughter
promises twisted food
for a twisted thought
eyes crinkling
pained with madness
of euphoria's pointless onslaught
the ferris wheel
a plethora of colour
always providing him a merry din
plastic horses sportingly
hauling happy children
with their plastic grin
darkness pitches
a heartless reminder
settling on noisy memories
devious fanatics
lips muttering
of clowns and their vagaries
his painted face
smothers a rabid cry
must the fun really stop?
the joker welcomes
with his laugh
into his crooked world of mindless fop...
