In the night my beauty fades,
Entranced by the day,
Where my heart is laid,
The life I once lived,
Within light to be real,
But alone in the dark,
With this feeling I feel.
The darkness consumes me,
As my empty it yearns,
It perceives of my truth,
And my soul it does burn!
It to always and ever,
When ere the light fades,
To take of my heart,
The belief there was laid.
It awaits me I hear it!
As I sleep in each day,
For I know that each night,
In the shadows it preys.
I can no longer hide it,
It to mirror me true,
It knows whom I am,
And the me it pursues!
Enlightened by darkness,
I see my true form,
My beauty it fades,
Until light of the dawn.
