I keep your letters in a cursed box.
To remind me what is now tainted
I do not dare to read them,
For they cause my heart to crumble to rocks
I shall wonder this world alone
The reason is you are not near
Forbidden brings emptiness
And emptiness leaves a hollow moan
Tears burn, for I have no more
And to think once to drown
In the same tears I owned
Now it’s nothing more then a chore
Funny how life is
Brought to us on a plate
But left to waste
Because we can not have what it is
Such as a forbidden fruit, Left to rot
The hunger you feel, as your eyes gaze upon it
Only to remember it is verboten
And though you shall be tortured if caught
This is why, I can not show emotion
Only towards your soul
My father despises your touch on my skin
Forgive me, for you will never know my devotion

"Such as a forbidden fruit, Left to rot
The hunger you feel, as your eyes gaze upon it" Deep feel in this fruit of forgotten Eden...nicely done...I love the flow of this.
