Yearn A Beginning

In the name of the father,
The son,
And the Holy Spirit,

Never were we born,
Never were we spawned,
From the womb we're torn,
And taken to beyond,

Given are we to the wolves,
Laid on the altar,
Embrace God as he pulls,
And rescues us, Our Father,

Amen.

      I got you...

yeah i understand that many people aren't religious, and i do respect that but i am religious, not that im saying there have to be barriers in a relationship because of it y'know?
like we can still be friendly and talk and stuff but we don't HAVE to talk about religious stuff, my religion isn't bible bashing or going to chappel to be forgiven, mine is a more personal affair and it will remain that way...lol, i haven't got a problem with someone who has different beliefs than i, so i really get your comment and thanks - Domz

This is a great short poem... I like the traditional setting that you have used the prompt, and the touch of rhyme gives it a good rhythm... thank you for entering this contest

    Keep writing
