As you begin your journey…
See words flow as nature calls…
Birds sing, cats play…
Feel peace as water falls…
Love…
Listen..
Touch… the freedom of life
.
Author notes
just made a metal piece that looks abstract but actually has all of the italicized words in it, made the piece for a friend for her birthday and made up this poem as her birthday card.

What a wonderful friend you must be indeed - a poem and a metal sculpture, as well. Wow - lucky friend!

I've heard that a couple times now... what a great friend I am... I hope my head doesn't get too big to fit out the doorway.
Thanks so much for visiting and your kind comments, Bleep7!

Thank you for sharing this!

Took me a bit to figure out why all of these strangers were leaving comments on this poem! An AP friend put it in the spotlight... sheesh!
Thanks so much for visiting and commenting, Divided Star. Write on!

Not giving it to her until the 30th, so we will see, but I know she will be happy with it and the metal piece. She's quitting her "regular" job and in a place where she can move into her massage career only now, and turning 49 on the 29th! Big things goin' on... haha.
Thank you for visiting and the clappies, Rudolf.

Impressed
If someone wrote me a poem for my Bday,...WOW
OK, I'd look at the metal thingy too...

-
-
Hahaha! Yeah, the metal thingy is just that... a metal thingy...
But, I enjoyed making it, so that's all that matters! Thanks for visiting and the clappies, shepherd23.

I crushed an old beer can that flew on the wind into my yard... can that qualify as a Metal Piece? can I tell people it's high art and charge a fortune? please say yes!!! it's almost summer and my neighbors will be drinking tons of beer and I feel my money making muse kicking in!!!
Ok enough silliness.. Oh Miss Buddy you are SPECIAL..
Special.. Special ... what a great friend you are indeed!! I'm sure whoever recieved this thought so TOO!!!
Doc.

Art is different for everyone, so if you want to crush beer cans and call it art - so be it! Maybe someday you will expand your skills and start stacking and gluing the crushed cans together to make something new out of them.
-
-
You see... that is why you are the artist and I, not.
I would never think to add glue to the mix! I just thought I'd throw them around the yard at random and
call the piece "Lazy Girl Tossing Trash" but your way...
it really could be art!! I could make a beer can bust of myself!!! you inspire me!

I just started welding this week! So, you'll just have to wait until my welding muse decides that it is time to create something that is just for you and when that happens I will send it to you!
Cannot push the muse or then it hides away and that is no fun at all!

-
-
Gas
Gas, Arc, TIG, MIG, Laser, Induction ... yep, know them all
Hint - do not store butane lighter in your pocket while welding
-
-
Haha! I'll try and remember that one.
