Take my hand and summer will end

I noticed you one day all happy and cheerful
running through the flowers on a beautiful summer day
the blue of your eyes drowning out the sky
sending me spirling into a world of love and joy i never knew
we walked the world together that summer if only for a second
you took my hand and said lets just skip into our own special place
we held eachother and whispered sweet nothings to eachother
wanting nothing but the next moment to bring new things to experience together
we danced and we glided through the flowers to a tree where we kissed
summer was over in a flash but the feeling of it never faded
winter came with hardships untold and storms never before seen
we fought together hand in hand never knowing the right way but always finding a way
although the snow kept blowing down on us and the cold cut through our clothes
nothing could stop what we had during that summer so we ran
we ran through the snow like it was a open field of flowers and birds
and let the warmth of our love wrap around us and warm us even in the bitter cold
we finally made it through the winter and the spring brought something different
the snow had melted and opened a new path into the mountains
we grabed eachothers hands and walked up the small path to the hills
isolated in our love from all the other pressures of the world
we found a place where it was always summer
a hidden valley where the flowers never die and the gardens always grow
the birds fly and we do what ever springs our interest
thats when i looked at you and knew for sure that this summer would never end
looking into your eyes i asked you if you would share this summer with me forever
with tears in your beautiful eyes you said nothing just kissed me
we sailed off on our cloud into the summer that will never end
