We all have our secrets,
packaged up and hidden away.
In boxes, in attics
and in our minds.
Don't delve too deep
for you may not like what you find.
Watching the moon,
the clouds hide it's face.
But there's a trace of a smile
evil but sweet.
We keep the devil in the shadows
of our own existence.
You can go ahead and ask me
if I've ever lied.
I'm trying to be honest,
trust me I have tried.
But sometimes I speak
before I've had time to think.
In the shadows of our existence
we sometimes hide away.
Needing an escape
from our hell-worthy day.
Never choosing to show the world
the dark side of our face.
