Second hands move in essence
Frozen in mid thought
Dreaming nothing more than hope
Apparitions come alive
Keep me here; keep awake
Stay alive.
Author notes
Sometimes it doesnt feel like there is enough time just to simply live.

This is an interesting allusion to "tempus fugit" and I quite like it. It is both focused on the moment and looking forward.
The first lines do their job well, grabbing the reader's attention and curiosity.
Thanks for entering
ps. it put me in mind of an old Jack London short story "to build a fire"
