It is dark --
wink of fire sheeted
and they are thrown
like cargo, in motion,
against the fat
of a scrubbed moon;
circle one another,
suspicious, spooked,
buckled one way.
The metal heaves
and shrinks to distance,
points a slick flinger:
an eye-map to single
grey plague.
There is sick
familiarity here --
the mirror is unclothed.

Damn, 'fat of the moon' ... how clever that is. I'm with guy on this, definitely poetry!

still after the presidency of the Drunken Poet's Society is see...lolol
you should visit some of the train stations here in the US...most of which are named 'Union Station' for some esoteric reason i've yet to fathom.
the one in Chicago has some great bars and restaurants.
but this is good stuff...a 100 proof, i'd say

Have I ever mentioned I almost never look in the mirror for more than say ... 5 seconds at a time? Hehe.
Love this. Write when you drink more often.

(not that they aren't just as good when you aren't drinking.)

5 min poetry??? I couldn't write something as good as this poem even if I had 5 days, lololol!!
You are just awesome, Allyce and i love the way you've made trains and stations (btw, i love old steam trains) part of a train of thought - wonderful metaphorical display of talent here - well, also some burps, but if you burp as poetically as this, then i might just forgive you

great stuff - as always!

in altered states we see things in a different way.
