My words and panties fascinate one man
who writes in rhyme and has the strangest look
he teases me and takes my teasing back
I wonder what he really thinks of me
at first he thought that I was someone else
I had to ask if he was really weird
it seems that he just made an odd mistake
and scared me half to death because of it
he has a special friend who is the Queen
she says that I show promise in my verse
my blank verse sonnet didn't win a prize
but free verse saw me win a gold at last
I hope that they will be good friends to me
and help me write some better poetry
