Like the song which springs from the white doves wings,
whistling through the forest trees.
or the violet comb of the thistle blowin’
It’s down into the breeze
There’s a beauty new and it’s born in you,
and a lightness in my soul
days were dull and gray, now they’ve gone away,
and it’s you who makes life whole.
Like a rainbow’s hues on the powder blues
of the skies after the storm.
paints away the gray, turns the summer day
to a scene that’s bright and warm.
every dawn’s inspired all I have desired
and much more, has come to be,
you’re my every dream comin’ true it seems
you are wonderful to me.
Author notes
Yes. I loved a woman very much. And, I still do. Wish it had lasted.

This is lovely, Poet. I would suggest NOT capitalizing the first word of every line. Minor issue, but distracting. Congratulations on a well~earned gold.

Thank you Swanee I think I corrected it. Not sure on the punctuation though.

Very Good
You did a wonderful job here. I read it several times and it gently came alive for me. Your feelings come through strong and straight from the heart. You paint a picture with words that bring your memories alive in the reader's mind, and we too can appreciate the strength and purity of your feelings.

An awesome song, light, soft and gentle, full to the brim with overwhelming love. I truly love the wording, the placement of your words and the gentle beat. Well done.

Oh, you are just too flattering! I can't believe it. I hope you have the longest and most successful of unions and everyday is the best until the next!
