The horizon a ruby red
like a reflection of my eyes,
covered by the heavens
dark blanket in the skies
Time stands still for a moment
as I crucify this day,
that has crumbled my mind
and led my heart astray
Metaphors of wisdom
rip from my soul now lost,
I can never buy it back
at such a detrimental cost
Fade away bloody glow
so thickly warm and red,
as my eyes shall slowly close
into heavens bathing bed
