Giving glory to the Lord.
Four desiring the glorious peak,
To praise the One adored.
Confined, Joni was, to wheels and frame,
Waiting for her Master.
To dance for Him to praise His name,
Joni so longed after.
Sam saw no rainbows, or even a face,
Darkness was his existence.
He relied on the Lord's grace,
His spirit learned persistence.
Laughter was a foreign thing,
To Julie; she was deaf.
To hear herself, once to sing,
His love for her the treble clef.
John wanted to preach of the Lord,
But he was born a mute.
Still he trusted in his Reward,
And trusted without refute.
In their time, each passed on,
Not knowing unknown senses.
They flew on, to the Son,
Beyond finite fences.
Each before their Salvation,
His face their answered prayer,
They then expressed their consolation,
For lives that seemed unfair.
"In my chair, You lifted me,
In my spirit, in my heart.
In my mind, I could flee
To Love that would not part."
Joni then fell on her face,
For a moment she did not move.
Her stillness praised His good grace,
Testified to what it proved.
"In my mind, I saw Your kingdom,
Hearing Your mighty word.
Blindness failed to take my freedom,
When the truth was heard."
Sam then made a simple act,
A hard-to-see small surprise.
His praise was one of simple impact,
By just closing his eyes.
"My heart laughed and held a song,
Inspired by Your grace.
I knew to Whom I belonged,
With Your gift of simple faith."
Julie then made a request
That would make lesser courts riot.
The Lord then acted at her behest,
Commanding a moment of quiet.
"You made me to all as one strong,
Living for the Truth.
My life spoke all along
And preached as Your proof."
John moved forward to make his offer,
To common sense it was violent.
To give his praise to his highest Brother,
He kept his mouth silent.
Crowns of gold, of things precious,
Like lives or temporal desires,
Will be tossed before Jesus
For escaping eternal fires.
Crowns of golden earthly dreams,
Profane before the Glory,
Easily thrown before the King,
Marking that eternal Story.

Author notes
"Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
"Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:
'Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!'
"Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:
'You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.'”--Revelation 4:2-11

wow
That is so ture. When we lack something God give us something more to replace it. We go through our weakness. While we wait for the lord we need to be still and not to worry so much on our time. We need to learn wait Gods time. -

You know...
...you are such a perceptive young woman. You saw something in my poem I had no intention of writing in, but it's there and it's valid. The Lord does give us something replace a loss or handicap.
You are absolutely right, baby sister! You go, girl!

How Glorious!
My heart center is glowing right now. What a precious picture you have just presented us. Each person with their particular trial praising Him despite the obstacle & in a way that superseded it! Brilliant! Followed up by the Righteousness of His Word! Yes, I remember the feeling I had when I first heard those in Throne Room [24 Elders] cast their crowns down before Him! Marv vision for me to embrace right now 'cause I'm in a lot of pain & just had to take some Vicodin! This is so awesomely powerful! Now I need to see if He has something for me to pen. Bravo friend!
