My ship of life was moving
Steadily, effortlessly;
In the
Vast ocean of youth,
Enormous sea of desires;
Blissfully ignorant
Of the sharks
Lurking around;
I was singing and dancing
With sublime waves
And twinkling stars;
I heard an anguished cry
Shattering
The stillness of water;
I looked around
And saw a beautiful fish
Entangled in the net of life;
I moved my ship
Closer and closer
Towards the gasping fish;
I reached out
To hide it
From the evil stares
Of predators;
Suddenly
The blue water turned gray
The clear sky became overcast
The peaceful sea turned turbulent
Threatening me with its might;
I tried hard and hard
To free the pleading fish
From the mesh of life;
I tugged with all might
Against the hurdles
Standing in my way;
The barriers gave way
At last
Leaving me bruised and bloodied;
I took the dying fish
In my arms
Kissing it madly;
The fish stirred
And opened the dreamy eyes
Brimming with desires;
I heard a soft whisper
Invading my heart
With purest emotion;
I cried
And laughed
With the angelic fish
Holding it tighter than ever
In my fold
Singing and dancing
Singing and dancing
Never to lose it again;

Luved it!
