Long, cold, snowy months,
Slogging through chilling events;
Steady drumbeat of bad news,
An economic meltdown, amidst glacial weather.
Hope and possibility frozen still and hard.
Life is bleak, devoid of promise,
Just a game of survival, nothing more.
Finally, finally, springtme warmth arrives.
Grass and trees green up,
Flowers sprout, bud and bloom.
The very air itself becomes balmy, perfumed.
A magical season of renewed hope is here.
Plans for a busy summer brewing, simmering...
Passions rising heat matches outdoor temp increases.
Winters icy, imprisoning grip finally broken,
New outdoors experiences propel soaring hopes.
Good things seem truly possible again.
Natures' gifts boost ones' confidence and morale,
Make it worth trying new things, seeing new places.
Life holds possibilities now.

Good to see someone viewing winter as a beginning rather than an ending. Nice piece.

Springs renewal is Gods way of motivating us to change but unfortunatley most of go through life enjoying the view instead of becomming part of the view renewal and change.Thank you for entering my contest.
