I can hear you talking about me
While I'm in the other room
Talking about my flaws
How cruel
And insensitive I can be
But you never seem to mention
The demon inside you
The beast you let out
When no one else is looking
I can hear you talking about me
And I just sit hear and listen

At the expense of my cliche
I say they try to rise above this love
yet never gaze the golden greatness
of truism self

I really liked this. Of course, I am not the type to sit and listen anymore. I would be in their faces, but I remember those days when I'd just sit and listen. Nice poem. Good luck in the contest

short and sweet, i hate it especially when people choose to gossip about you straight at your face as if you couldn't hear them, nicely written.
thank you for entering and good luck =)
