Walking in to the arms of her
gives you nothing. No, nothing at all
because you walked away from the best
damn thing that ever could have happened
to you. No one, not even her, will love
you, adore you, treasure you and want
you the way that I once did. Nope, not
even her. So go ahead and be gone. I'm
moving on. I'm taking my heart of gold
with me and don't you dare ever look
back because there is no back, for you!

This contest seemed right up my alley. I was just thinking today that he will never find any one to love him the way that I once did and if he were to come back now ( as he has in the past ) I would slam the door in his face ( after I, no doubt, slapped him in it )! Who needs em indeed!

    Such a very sad and emotional piece this is. The power from every line was superb. The emotion carried me away, as did the anger too, which was always within the piece. Fantastic writing.
