Next Time That He Cheats,
I know what I will do,
I'll smile and forgive him,
Just like I always do.
Next time that he comes home late,
I'll smile and give him his reheated food,
And wash the lipstick from his Collar,
I know nothing else I can do.
Next time that he hits me,
And calls me obscene name's,
I'll cry and say I'm sorry,
Just to stop the Pain.
Next time that He takes a Drink,
Victory will be mine,
For I've forgiven him,
Far to many times.
My sister gave me the poison,
My mother the courage and Strength,
My black eye the ambition,
My Broken wrist a Motive.
And when the ambulance arrives,
And the Police come to take me away,
I'll smile like I always do,
And be content with you in a Grave.
