Where is the balance point between extremes?
the fine line isolating truth and dreams,
censures we neither mean nor understand
a roller coaster ride through no man’s land.
Conflicting egos sorely play their part
the fickleness of love may break your heart,
embedded in the roots of high esteems
our ideal image fractures at the seams.
Our fabricated picture of true love
will disappoint and make a judgment of
the true emotion on which love was based
and very soon hard choices must be faced.
The fine line separating love and hate
holds no remorse for those who hesitate,
pitch and roll and soon the mighty fall
and you have lost the greatest love of all.
So love yourself for who you truly are
don’t waste your future wishing on a star,
turn back from your world of make believe
and all you give is all that you’ll receive.

Oooo.
It has a pun!
Because... there's a line between love and hate and
there's a line crossing OUT hate in the picture
where it is replaced by love.
This is a great write, I really like what you've done with this prompt! -
