There are no names
In the place where the sun scars
Where the sun spangles, and shadows collect
Cobwebs of regret, the washing machines all set
to 'black' the shoes are never polished and
the carpenter boy looks on, perplexed

From his crude vantage point he sees them walk
like wilting sunflowers, stalks bathed in droops
and dropping stones into the nooks and crannies
superstition cloaks their bright, gay heads that crane
towards the sun
Nonetheless-

Institutional bulk-bought furniture furnishes
this place, she wanders out - a chair sits waiting
Stilted, jilted, game - one leg, bent out
Mother Superior has been here, obese, crippled
with the gout of too many years behind her
the doubt of how many years ahead of her
eyes crumpled from trying to spy gates ahead

She sits, she leaves rosaries to decorate her neck
She drifts under the tunafish net of thinking too hard
she forgets, for one moment, to face toward where
She is supposed to be, instead, pulls out a book of poetry
'The heart asks pleasure, first - '

And where the sun spangles, where shadows hide, where
language is spoken in Latin and sighs, the heart asks second
(the carpenter knows) please father, excuse from pain.

For someone so young in heart I am amazed by your mind.
Outstanding quality. An intellectual embroidery created so skillfully.Tapestried so well to myriad the emotions within the readers mind, splitting the emotions in so many different directions.Your skill is outstanding.

  • The imagery in this is nothing short
    of breathtaking.
I think I'm partially bias because
    I was really hoping someone
would expand on this picture in particular and you
took it to a whole new level for me
    Excellent work!
