Ravaged,
savage cells
dominated by
disease.
Over kill
going every
which way
making some
thing else
instead of
what lies
with in.
A distant
light
still so
far yet
the ties
that bind
so taut
they refuse
to break.
Bloated,
swollen and
shaking
fluids seep
as bodies
are left
quacking in
the wake of
something
vulgar and
black.
White coats
lab vessels
crimson draws
it's line in
the sand of
time running
out.
Hands upon the
poked skin
imprints bruise
as weakened
lungs gasp
one last breath.
Rivers flow
it's the end
of what they
have known.
Until now as
things rearrange
themselves in
atomic space
and life
shifts again to
replace that
which now has
passed.
