Alexia Kloos-18-main character (dark hair and eyes, medium height, tan)

Cameron-18-boyfriend of Alexia’s (dark hair and eyes, slightly muscular and tan, tall)
Sam-18-friend of Alexia’s (medium height, skinny, pale)
Rachael-Cam’s ex-girlfriend-girlfriend of Jake (short, blonde with green eyes)
Elliott: 18-best friend of Alexia’s-casual friend of Cam’s (very tall, dark hair and eyes)-good friend of Jake’s.
Jake-18-boyfriend of Rachael (tall, blonde with blue eyes, muscular and tan)-working partner and good friend of Elliott’s.
Choir Teacher: Medium height and kind of chunky.
Alexia’s Mom: Short, pale, a little chunky, blonde.
Act 1 Scene 1
SCENE IS IN DEUEL HIGH SCHOOL OF SMALL TOWN CLEAR LAKE SOUTH DAKOTA ON A COOL THURS SPRING MORNING.
Alexia Kloos, who is eighteen and a senior, drives up in a white Pontiac car and finds a parking place. She shuts off her car, grabs her keys and phone, steps out, grabs a cold coffee from the cup holder and her purse off the front seat, and then grabs her backpack from the backseat of the car. She seems to be in a rush, considering the bell is about to ring. She speed walks across the parking lot to the school doors, then through the halls to her chorus classroom while sipping her coffee.
Jackie: You are almost late again? Geesh girl..
Alexia: (Not expecting) Yea I know, I need to wake up just a little bit earlier, I always hit my alarm a couple times.
Jackie: Yea, that would probably help. Well get your booty goin then!
(Smiles and laughs)
She walks in just as the bell rings, sets down her things by the edge of her chair, then gets her music, and sits in her seat and turns around to a girl classmate until the teacher is ready to begin.
Alexia: Gooood Morning, so how was your weekend?
Sam: Perty good, just chilled and went to the movies on Saturday.
Alexia: Oh, really? What did you see?
Sam: I went with my boyfriend, he didn’t like it too much of course, but it was a show about a young girl like us who has a boyfriend in her high school during her senior year, and like he doesn’t pay attention to her and she meets a nicer guy anyway, so they break up, and then it tells this whole story about their relationship and what goes on with them.
Alexia: Wow, sounds interesting. What was it called?
Sam: Uhhh…oh yea, Destiny.
Alexia: Good name for a movie like that, I should go see it with my guy.
Sam: Yea, but wouldn’t he make a fuss about it? I mean, Cam doesn’t really like those kinda things at all does he?
Alexia: Yea, I don’t…
(Turns around as class begins and teacher begins speaking.)
Choir teacher: All right class, let’s have the seniors take out the seniors graduation song and practice that, everyone else just find something to do for now, and don’t leave the classroom without permission.
All the seniors gather around the teacher and piano and practice their song for graduation for a while. Alexia is singing with an un-easy look on her face. Towards the end of class everyone just sits and talks and do homework until the bell rings and then go to their next class.
After chorus: Alexia goes through her normal school day, History, Technical Writing, Literature, and then lunch.
Scene 2
LUNCHTIME
Alexia: FINALLY, I thought lunch was never going to come, I’m starving. (Talking to herself as classmates pass by.)
Opens her locker, puts her books away on a shelf and her bag on hook, and then grabs a water and sandwich off her shelf in the locker, and then closes it as a boy walks up to her through the crowd.
Cameron: Hey baby, watcha got there?
Alexia: A turkey and cheese sandwich, why?
Cameron: Just wondering, I forgot my lunch today and don’t want to eat the schools. Do you have any money? I’m starving and want to go to the Shack and grab a burger or something.
Alexia: Uh, yea, I got a ten in my locker.
Cameron: Awesome, thanks babe, I’m gonna run down there real quick, I’ll be back and we can work on that History project while we eat.
Alexia: Ok, see you in a bit then.
Cameron: Thanks, luv ya! (Walks out school doors and out to his car.)
Alexia goes out to their commons area and sits down with some friends, her sandwich, water, and laptop to begin her project.
20 minutes later, walks in with a soda, and burger.
Cameron: Hey hun, I’m back, let’s get started. Whatcha got so far?
Alexia: What took you so long? How much did you take from my locker to? Cuz I’m missing an extra $10?
Cameron: I only took ten?
(Confused look, pretending)
Alexia: Ok then, well someone must have stole it then I guess.(Not convinced) Well I’m almost finished actually. You could finish…
Cameron: I have to eat my lunch, ya think you could just finish it up? I’ll make it up to you this weekend? Please?
Alexia: Uh, I suppose, you need to eat don’t ya? I’ll just tell Mr. N you helped out, but then you will have to look over the stuff for the presentation?
Cameron: No problem, I can do that.
(He un-wraps burger and begins chowing down.)
Alexia: Oh yea, since you said you would make it up to me, would you want to go with me to the movies tonight?
Cameron: (Mouth full) I don’t know, what’s it about?
Alexia: Well it’s called Destiny, about a young girl, who has a boyfriend in her high school during her senior year, and like he doesn’t pay attention to her and she meets a nicer guy anyway, so they break up, and…(he cuts her off)
Cameron: Sure, I will go I guess. (Takes another huge mouth full)
Alexia: Ok, then. (Smiles at him) Thanks hun. (He’s not paying attention)
Alexia begins working again, her sandwich still sitting on the table on other side of her.
Minutes later students begin to form back into the commons area and it becomes noisy. Alexia closes her laptop and calls it quits for now. Cameron has gone off somewhere to talk to friends.
(Bell rings) Everyone goes back to their next class to continue on with their day.
Scene 3
AFTER SCHOOL BY LOCKERS
Jackie: Oh my gosh, I can’t wait for us to go and see Shantel and Miles, so don’t forget I’m picking you up at 2:00 k?
Alexia: Yea I can’t wait either, haven’t seen them in a while. I’ll be ready, going to do my homework before you pick me up that way won’t have to worry about it.
Jackie: Well I got to head to work; I’ll see you later then. I might call you tonight!
(Walks away)
Alexia: K (To herself)
Cam: (Walks up with a smile) So you want to go with me to Elliott’s party?
Alexia: You’re going to a party? I thought we were supposed to go to that movie tonight together? You said you would spend time with me since I was leaving tomorrow? (Disappointed and confused)
Cam: Yea, but I thought it would be better to go to his party together, besides there will be more people and you can still spend time with me, besides you know I don’t like those kinda movies.
Alexia: I suppose, but who’s all coming?
Cam: Us, and then Jackie told me she was going to go if she could, Racheal and..
Alexia: Racheal’s going? I thought her car was wrecked after last weekend when she crashed it into that tree?
Cam: Yea it was, but her boyfriend Jake fixed it. Good as new I guess.
Alexia: Oh, I see. Well I guess I could go if you want me to.
Cam: Alright then, I’ll pick you up at 8. Later!
Alexia: Bye.
Alexia goes home and finishes her History project and then eats supper and just chills out at home until 8 rolls around.
Scene 4
ALEXIA’S FRONT DOOR OF HOUSE
(Door bell rings.)
Alexia: I’ll get it! (Runs to door.) Hi.
Cam: Ready?
Alexia: Yea, just let me go grab my jacket from upstairs.
Cam: Ok hurry, I got people waitin on me.
Alexia: K then? (Runs up stairs.)
Alexia comes back down the stairs and Cameron has already gone back to his car. He is turned around talking to someone in the back seat. Alexia opens the car door and sits in front seat.
Alexia: (Turns around.) Oh, hey, uh Rachael, how’s it going? I thought your car was fixed?
Rachael: (Smiling and perky) Oh, yea it is, Jake had one more thing he said he was going to do to it, he’s suppose to drive it to pick me up tonight from the party, I guess it’s taking longer than he thought it would.
Alexia: Oh, I see. Cool. (Turns back around.)
They continue driving without talking the rest of the way until they get to the party.
Scene 5
ELLIOTTS HOUSE PARTY
They arrive and go in and grab some drinks and talk to people there.
Alexia: Hey cracker, wats up?
Elliott: Nothing, just tryin to have fun and control this damn party at the same time. You?
Alexia: Wondering where Cam went. You seen him?
Elliott: No, sorry. Maybe outside? I don’t know.
Alexia: Ok thanks. (Turns around and begins to walk away)
Jake: Hey Alexia, how are you?
Alexia: Oh hey, good. (Cheesy smile)
Jake: Yea, but um, have you seen Rach?
Alexia: No I haven’t, I’ve been looking for her or Cam to. Which ever shows up first I guess.
Jake: Oh, ok, well I’m gonna look to, you keep lookin ok? (Walks away)
Alexia searches outside, and doesn’t find Cam, then calls his phone to see if he left, and then everywhere else in the house, lastly, she checks upstairs.
Alexia: (Knocks and slowly begins to open door.) Hello, anyone in…Oh..
Cam and Rach are lying on a bed together, kissing, and holding each other.
Cam: Oh, hey babe…uh..(Sits up)
Alexia: What are you doing?
Cam: We were just talking.
Alexia: Oh, is that how you do that these days? With your tongue? I knew it! (Slaps him.) I can’t believe you. (Angry and hurt, turns around.)
Cam: Alexia, babe, wait!
Alexia: (Turns back around) Nope, we’re through. (Takes a ring off hand and throws it at him, and walks out door.)
Alexia runs down stairs crying, and goes outside and sits on grass. Jake notices and goes out after her.
Jake: Alexia, what happened?
Alexia: Take a wild guess?! (Crying)
Jake: Oh, that’s just great. I can’t believe her. (Hurt expression)
Alexia: Yea, thas what I said.
Jake: Well (Pause) We don’t need them anyway, they don’t deserve us.
Alexia: Yea, I guess. But now what am I suppose to do? Prom is in three weeks?!
Jake: I don’t know, I’m sorry. Here, let’s get outta here? That ok?
Alexia: I was waitin for you to ask that. (Small smile)
Jake helps her to her feet, walks to car door, and opens door for her, and then goes around the other side and gets in.
Scene 6
LOCAL CAFÉ
Alexia and Jake talk: about what happened, and just random things while sharing a basket of fries.
Alexia: So where are you going to go to school at?
Jake: I am going to LATI in Watertown, couldn’t afford a real college, and I don’t big schools.
Alexia: Oh, really? Me to.
Jake: Yea?
Alexia: Uh huh. So what are you gonna try to do then?
Jake: Well I want to do something with Mechanics, I’m really good with anything having to do with automotives. You?
Alexia: Sounds cool. I’m gonna try something with Photography, I love taking pictures of like nature and people, I think I could manage to be a professional, for like weddings and graduations to.
Jake: Hey, yea then I’ll call you to take pictures of my cars. (Puts fry in his mouth)
Alexia: (Smiles and laughs) Yea...I could do that.
Long Pause
Jake: So, what are you doing this weekend?
Alexia: As of this moment…nothing I can think of.
Jake: I was wondering, since I do car shows, if you would like to come see one of them sometime? You could bring some friends if you want. I mean, because the more people the better.
Alexia: Sounds cool, I would like to do that.
Jake hints to grab a pen.
Alexia: Oh, yea. (Laughs) That might help.
Jake: Ok, you have a pen?
Alexia: Uh, yea, let me get it out of my purse.
Jake: (Sits patiently waiting)
Alexia: Here ya go.
Jake: Thanks. (Begins writing on a napkin.) Here ya go.
Alexia: Alright then, well I will call you and let you know as soon as I do.
Jake: I hope you can come.
Alexia: Yea, me to, but right now I need to probably be getting home, my mom is going to be worrying, its 12:30.
Jake: Oh, ok…uh, you wana ride?
Alexia: If it’s not too much trouble, sure.
Jake: No, not at all.
They get out of booth and walk out the café doors to his car; he opens the door again for her and then gets in. They don’t talk while on the way there, but the radio is playing the song “It’s your love.” By Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
Scene 7
OUTSIDE ALEXIA’S HOUSE IN DRIVEWAY
Alexia: Well, thanks for the ride, I had a nice time tonight, all except for, well…you know. It was nice talking to you though, it helped.
Jake: I had a good time to, I’m glad it helped, it helped me too though.
Alexia: (Small smile) Well I better get going, have to get to bed for my big trip tomorrow.
Jake: O really, where you goin?
Alexia: To see some of my old friends, they live in Pierre.
Jake: That sounds fun, hope you have a good time, that will probably help even more.
Alexia: (Thinking) Yea, actually, it should.
Jake: Ok, well I will let you go then, I guess I will see you next weekend?
Alexia: Yea. I’ll call you. Thanks again. (Gets out of car)
Jake: Good night!
He sits and watches her walk to her door, she turns around and waves, and he waves back with a smile, then starts up car as she walks in the house.
Scene 8
NEXT DAY: FRIDAY:JAKE’S CAR GARAGE
Elliott: So what did you do last night man? I mean like where’d you go? You disappeared from the party? What happened?
Jake: I left, didn’t want to be there after what happened.
Elliott: What you talking ‘bout what happened?
Jake: Rachael cheated on me with Cameron.
Elliott: Oh, gosh, I’m sorry man.
Jake: No, it’s ok, we weren’t working out very well anyway, she always wanted to run around and wasn’t interested in what I do.
Elliott: So what about Alexia? What did she do?
Jake: Well she’s the one that found them…
Elliott: Geesh, poor girl, what did she do?
Jake: I saw her run outside crying, so I went after her and talked to her
Elliott: Well I was supposed to bring her home, but I couldn’t find her? She must have gone with you?
Jake: Yea, we went to the café and talked.
Elliott: I’m sure. (Curious smile)
Jake: Hey man, no, she’s just a friend; I was just helping her out, besides she’s hurt.
Elliott: Yea, but you must not know her very well, Alexia is a fast healer, she’s been through a lot, so she can deal pretty well.
Jake: O really, yea I didn’t know that. I mean, I’ve only talked to her some when we have seen each other around you guys. That is, until last night.
Elliott: Yea, well, she’s a good person; Cam didn’t deserve her anyway, besides he didn’t pay much attention to her.
Jake: How long were they together?
Elliott: I don’t know for sure, like 5 months or something like that, got together like January or something, it was after Christmas I know that much.
Jake: Well, me and Rach were only together for 3 months.
Long pause in conversation as Jake wipes down his 72 red Camaro.
Elliott: So..you like her?
Jake: I guess you could say so…I mean, she seems really nice, and she’s pretty good looking. She wants to do photography, and I told her she should take pictures of the cars for me then.
Elliott: Yea, she likes cars.
Jake: O really? I woulda never guessed? She seems like the down-to-earth kinda girl?
Elliott: Nope, she likes to do some things you wouldn’t ever know for a girl like her. She likes cars, mudding, football, paintball, hunting, racing…
Jake: Wow.
Elliott: Yea, but of course she likes to do her own things to, she loves going to the beach, that’s when she gets the chance to take some good pics to.
Jake: Hmm..I should take her there sometime. You think she would like that?
Elliott: I don’t see why not. Just make sure you are good to her..otherwise, I’ll kick your skronny ass! (Throws dirty rag at him and smiles)
Jake: (Catches the rag) Don’t worry, I will. (Throws rag back)
They continue working on their cars.
Scene 9
SUNDAY AFTERNOON
Alexia is almost home from Pierre; she is listening to the radio, and then decides to give Jake a call to see what he is doing.
Jake: Hello?
Alexia: Hey, you know who this is?
Jake: Alexia?
Alexia: Wow, I’m kinda surprised you knew, so watcha doing?
Jake: Nothing really, just sitting at home, just finishing up so homework.
Alexia: Oh, I see, well I am on my way back from Pierre and…I was wondering if you wanted to hang out?
Jake: Umm..yea I guess I could, wasn’t expecting you to call. But it’s ok, I’m just workin in the shop a lil.
Alexia: Ok, well I should be back home in about an hour, then I’m going to change. So you like wana meet somewhere then?
Jake: Sure. How about…umm…the lake?
Alexia: Uh…I guess, that would be fine. So like 7:00 then?
Jake: Ok, sounds good, I’ll be waiting for you.
Alexia: K, bye.
Jake: Bye.
Scene 10
THE LAKE @ 7:00
Both of them show up about 7:00, Jake being there a little bit sooner though, started a small campfire and sat out a blanket near it for them to sit on.
Jake: Hey stranger. (Smiles)
Alexia: Hey yourself. Nice fire.
Jake: Yea, I figured it’s gonna get a lil chilly.
Alexia: Prolly, so why did you wana meet here? (Sits on the blanket)
Jake: Well, I figured this would be a good place. Don’t you like the lake? (Sits on the blanket as well)
Alexia: Yes, it’s beautiful. I come here a lot actually, usually by myself though, and then just sit on the end of the dock with my shoes of and feet in the water, just thinking is all.
Jake: Yea, I come down here some to, to do the same really, but I will usually go fishing or walk around.
Alexia: (Smiles) Then how come I never see you down here?
Jake: I’ve been here, trust me, I’ve seen you…
Alexia: Really?
Jake: Yea, I just don’t necessarily like to make an appearance when I’m out here.
Alexia: Oh I see.
They continue on talking for a while.
Jake: So how have you been? I mean, like, dealing with you know who?
Alexia: I’ve been pretty good, this weekend really helped. I don’t hate him though. Just want to start over new.
Jake: Yea that’s what I’m kinda tryin to do.
Alexia: Yea?
Jake: Mmmhmm (Smiles and sticks his tongue out at her)
Alexia: (Laughing) So what do you plan on doing then?
Jake: Well, find someone new, someone different, more..,whats the word…unique?
Alexia: Like who?
Jake: I don’t know, someone more like you.
Alexia: (Speechless and blushing, smiles) Why would you want someone like me?
Jake: Beacuase…You are truly unique, your beautiful as this lake sunset, smart, and one of the nicest people of ever met, and very caring..
Alexia: Oh am I?
Jake: Yes, it’s the truth…I swear. (Smiles)
Jake then leans over to her, and gives her a small kiss on the lips. Then she gives him one back, a small, but long kiss.
The night then goes on, getting darker, and they lay on the blanket together by the fire, watching the stars slowly come out one by one. Alexia is laying on his shoulder.
Alexia: What time is it? I should probably be getting home. I have a physics test tomorrow.
Jake: Its 10:03. I should probably do the same. (Gets up and then reaches a hand out to Alexia to help her to her feet, she stumbles and ends up very close to him.)
They give each other one last small kiss.
Alexia: Well I guess, I better get going.
Jake: Ok, I’ll call you tomorrow ok?
Alexia: Ok. Good night. (Begins walking to her car) Bye.
Jake: Good night. (Walks to his pickup)
Alexia and Jake go home, going their separate ways.
Scene 11
Alexia arrives home, and walks into her house.
Alexia’s Mom: And where have you been?
Alexia: Just down at the lake.
Alexia’s Mom: Ok (Knowing she goes there sometimes) ,you have all your homework done though?
Alexia: Yes.
Mom: Good girl, you better get to bed then.
Alexia: Planned on it.
Alexia then runs up the stairs to her room, gets her PJ’s on, then goes into her bathroom and brushes her hair.
As she is brushing her hair, she hears her phone beep.
She checks her phone and see’s she has a new text message and opens it, and see’s it’s from Jake, it says “good night my sweet”
She smiles.
She texts him back and says “good night
”Scene 12
MONDAY MORNING AT SCHOOL
Alexia walks into the back entrance by the school parking lot again like usual, but earlier this time. She then walks to her class, on her way there, her friend Jackie stops her.
Jackie: Dude, you know how I had borrowed that pencil of yours, well I put it back in your locker, and, well you should really check your locker before you go to class. I gotta run though. (Begins to walk away)
Alexia: Ok, I will I guess. (Curious and confused)
Alexia then walks up to the lockers, open hers, and see’s a big bouquet of colorful flowers sitting in the bottom of her locker with a little card attached
The card reads: Alexia, Will you go to prom with me? Love, Jake..
Astonished, she smiles, puts the card back onto the flowers, and goes to her choir class.
Scene 13
ALEXIA’S HOUSE AFTER SCHOOL
She tells her mom all about the guy she met while they’re standing in the kitchen, and how he asked her to prom in the sweetest way she thought possible.
Alexia: Oh my gosh mom, he is so sweet, I can’t believe he did that…all for me? Just to ask me to prom. I really like him, he’s pretty cute to. (Smiles)
Mom: Yea, I remember my prom…the good times those were…So when are you gonna get your dress? It’s not that far away you know.
Alexia: I already know what one I’ve been wanting, I will go this Thursday after school and get it with the girls.
Mom: Okay, will you need any money for it?
Alexia: Not for the dress, no. I have some money saved for that. The shoes maybe, and all the other little things, you know?
Mom: Ok then, that’s fine.
The door bell rings.
Alexia runs up the stairs.
Mom: Who could that be? (Walks towards the door to answer it and opens it. Surprised) Oh, hello there. Are you the Jake I’ve heard so much about?
Jake: Yes ma’am, I would suspect so. (Smiles)
Mom: Well, come in then, Alexia is somewhere around here…Alexia?! Jake is here!...(No answer) She must be in her room. You can go up there if you like, it’s the first door on the left.
Jake: Thank you ma’am. (Walks up the stairs, and then knocks on her door) Alexia, are you in here?
Alexia: Come in!
Jake: (Walks in) You look nice today. Did you get my gift?
Alexia: (Wearing a sun dress now, gets up from lying down on her bed and sits on the edge) Yes, I did. (Smiles) I love it. I put it on top of my dresser over there. (Points) Oh, and for the answer to your question. (Gets up and walks towards him slowly and mysteriously)
Jake: Yes?
Alexia: I will… (Jake smiles) (Now really close, gives him a small kiss)
Jake: So, you want to go to the movies with me tonight?
Alexia: Sure, what movie?
Jake: I think it’s called Destiny, about a..
Alexia: (Smiling) Yea, I know what it’s about. I’ve wanted to see that.
Jake: Yea, I like real life kinda stories, keeps you interested in the movie.
Alexia: Yea, same here.
Jake: So I’ll pick you up at 7, and we will go eat at the café, and then head to the movie? Sound good?
Alexia: Sounds good to me.
Jake: Ok, sorry baby, but I got to go, want to work on one of my cars before prom; it still needs a lot of work.
Alexia: Ok. That’s fine. So I will see you later then?
Jake: Sure will. (Gives her a kiss on the cheek, and the opens her bedroom door) Bye.
Alexia: Bye. (Gently closes door behind him)
Scene 14
THAT NIGHT @ 7:00
Jake comes at 7:00 like he had said, they go the café and eat, and order the same as the last time they were there together, and talk about arrangements for prom.
Jake: So I will get you a dark purple and silver bouquet of flowers, since I know your favorite color is purple, and I noticed you always wear silver jewelry.
Alexia: Yea, that would be perfect. Thank you.
Jake: No problem: So how does a black suit with silver vest and a dark purple tie sound?
Alexia: Just fine.
Jake: Ok then. Good.
Alexia: Do you want to get pictures together?
Jake: I was just going to ask you that.
Alexia: (Laughs) Sure.
Jake: Great, I will sign us up for them, and everything else of course to. So you think that’s everything?
Alexia: Yea, I do believe so.
Jake: Cool (Pause) so I was wondering…
Alexia: If I would come to your car show this weekend? Yes I will….I had looked it up. (Smiles)
Jake: (Smiles) Yea…your way ahead of me. Anyway though, the movie starts at 8:05…it is now…(Looks at watch) 7:25..should we get going then?
Alexia: Sure, let’s go.
They get up, Jake opens café door.
Jake grabs her hand as walking to the car, and lifts it up and kisses it.
Jake opens car door for her and then gets in to go to the movie theatre.
They arrive at the movie, Jake pays for them, and then they get their snacks.
Jake: Would you like anything?
Alexia: Umm..just something to drink, and Mt. Dew, oh and maybe some Reese’s pieces to munch on.
Jake: Those are both my favorites.
Alexia: Really?
Jake: Yea, I love Reese’s Pieces, and all I drink is Mt. Dew. That or Sunkist.
Alexia: Me to. (Smiles)
Jake: Would you like to share them then, with two straws?
Alexia: Sure, but we don’t need two. (Laughs)
Jake: Ok. We have a lot in common you know that?
Alexia: Yea, I’ve noticed…
Jake then asks for their snacks, and then they walk into the movie.
Scene 15
RIDE HOME TO ALEXIA’S AFTER THE MOVIE
Jake: Ya know? That movie seemed a lot like us. Don’t you think?
Alexia: Yea, I thought so to…You think that is how we worked out though? Through destiny?
Jake: I do believe so. (Smiles and then holds her hand.)
They get to her house.
Jake: (Parks car in front of house.) Here, I will walk you to your door. (Gets out and opens car door for her)
They walk to her front door together holding hands.
Jake: Well, I don’t know when I will be able to see you again this week because I have to work on the cars, but then come this Saturday I will see you for my car show.
Alexia: Yea, that’s fine.
Jake: I will call you every night though. I will miss you.
Alexia: I will miss you to. (Smiles)
Jake: Well, good night.
Alexia: Good night.
Jake gives her a small kiss and walks back to car. Alexia goes in the house.
The week goes on for the two of them like usual, school, friends, work and cars; Jake calls her every night just like he promised.
Scene 16
8:00 PM FRIDAY NIGHT
That Friday night, Alexia has Jackie, and Sam stay over, that way they can come and also meet Jake. They talk about him together all night.
Jake calls
Alexia: Hello?
Jake: Hey there baby. What’s up?
Alexia: Oh, just hanging out with your new publicity scene.
Jake: What?
Alexia: I had some friends come over to stay the night; they are coming with me to your show tomorrow.
Jake: Oh, that’s cool, the more the better. I think you and your friends will like it a lot, there are going to be a lot of cool cars there. You will also get to see our car for prom.
Alexia: Oh, really? What’s it like?
Jake: Nope not telling.
Alexia: Ok, fine be that way. (Teasing)
Jake: I will be that way, I want it to be a surprise.
Alexia: Ok, that’s fine, but now you got me all excited though.
Jake: Haha. (Laughs)
In the background from down the stairs-Jackie: Hey! Alexia! Lets go to the mall. We want to go shopping! Let’s go! Hurry up and get off the phone with your hubby! (Laughs, teasing)
Alexia: (Turns away from phone) Ok! Be right there! (Now talking to Jake) Ok, well I guess I have to go, but I will be there tomorrow ok?
Jake: Ok. See you then. Love you baby.
Alexia: I love you to. Buhbye.
Jake: Bye.
Alexia hangs up phone and runs down the stairs to her friends who were rummaging through their fridge.
They go to the mall and go shopping; Alexia buys a cute new outfit for the show tomorrow-a skirt and cute top.
Scene 17
SATURDAY MORNING @ 11:00
Jake is already at the show and the girls all meet him there.
Jake: Hey Alexia, and who are these ladies?
Alexia: This is Sam and Jackie.
Jake: Nice to meet you. You guys follow me and I’ll show you some of the cars.
Jake walks through the lines of cars they have there and explain they’re types and significance, and let them get in a couple of them.
They get to the end of the lines of cars, and there is a car with a tarp on it, with a sign that says “Do not take off tarp please until further notice.”
Alexia: Why is the tarp still on this one?
Jake: Because, this is our prom car and I didn’t want you to see it right away.
Jake pulls of tarp to reveal the car.
Alexia: Oh, my, GOD! A 67 Shelby Mustang?! This is our prom car? Where did you get this from? (Very astonished and amazed)
The car is a black 67 Shelby Mustang with two white stripes down the middle and hood scoops with spinners on the wheels and a performance exhaust system.
Jake: I pulled a few strings with some of my buddies.
Alexia: You got all this done on it in that short of time?
Jake: Yea, that’s why I couldn’t see you all week, I worked on it every night this week from the time I got out of school until 10 at night. All the work done on it cost me $2,000 out of my own pocket, but I had money from previous contests I’ve won.
Alexia: Wow, this is amazing.
Jake: Wanna take it for a drive?
Alexia: Sure! I mean, if you can.
Jake: Sure can…
They both get in the car and take off. Jake after some time of driving lets her drive.
They come back and meet back up with the girls still there, and Jake introduces some of his friends to them as well.
After the show they all go out to eat at about 1 pm, and then just chill out the rest of the weekend, and go to the lake to go swimming.
Scene 18
PROM NIGHT: SATURDAY AT 8
The week goes by just like before, only this time Alexia and Jake are getting everything prepared for prom on the upcoming weekend. Jake stops by and hangs out at her house a couple times and talk on the phone every night. They go to get his tux together and go out to eat on some of the remainder of the week.
Everyone arrives at prom all dressed up. Alexia is wearing her dress she got, a strapless dark purple with sparkly silver on it and a train. Jake is wearing his black tux with the silver vest and dark purple tie. They had went and got the flowers earlier.
The grand march starts, then pictures, and then the dance starts.
Alexia and Jake and all their friends are dancing together.
Then a slow song starts. It the song “It’s your love.”
Jake: Hey, this is our song…you wanna dance?
Alexia: It is?
Jake: Yea, it’s the song that was playing in my car the night we first began our new beginning, our destiny.
Alexia: Oh yea, it is, I do like this song…
Jake: Me to.
They walk out onto the dance floor holding hands and then begin dancing.
Jake: You know, I was thinking, since we are going to be attending LATI together…
Alexia: That we should get a place together?
Jake : Yea…
Alexia: That could work, sounds like a plan…
Jake: Great, I’m glad this all worked out like it did. (Smiles)
Alexia: Me to. Love you. (Smiles)
Jake: I love you to.
The song ends and Jake kisses her.
Then they continue on their night together as planned, just having fun together, loving being together.
AND THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER!
