I know that I am not perfect, nor do I claim to be,
I do believe that destiny, is what brought you to me.
My current situation is not ideal, that’s true,
But my heart is full of love, love ONLY for you.
My kids are my duty; I cannot let them go,
Your kids become my duty; and I will love them so.
Twenty years ago, I met my present wife,
But you are the woman, which I want for the rest of life.
I will stop at nothing, for your love I can’t bear to lose,
But when it comes to my children, please don’t make me choose.
They are not responsible for being in this life,
They cannot control what happens between me and my wife.
Your kids are very special because they are a part of you,
Please don’t think I could not love them, because I already DO.
I cannot replace their father, but I can be their dad,
To think you doubt my love, kind of makes me sad.
To try to make you love me would be wrong for me to do,
But please understand that my heart only beats for you.
Your beauty, kindness and courage can be felt with just a touch,
Your eyes are the window into the heart I want so much.
Like I said before, perfect is not me,
But I DO believe that our love is DESTINY.
I Love You baby, with ALL my Heart! I may not be perfect, but I am NOT weak!

You have truly poured out some strong words, emotional and loving. I can honestly say I understand your poem and realte to/live these words. And with that, just keep the faith, time is the only cure and answer.
