On My Knees

On my knees,
I pray for happiness
And along with that,
I strive for joy.

My friends are all gone,
All except a few.
One is far away,
And the others are still here.

I pray for them to stay with me,
And ask the Lord
To keep them safe.
I just want the best for them.

The knees on my jeans are worn.
I pray everyday for the darkness to leave.
The way that it makes me feel
Is just unexplainable.

My Father up in Heaven
Has done many wonderful things.
He let me come to this world,
But even more important,
He's letting me come back.

On my knees
I pray for joy,
And along with that,
I recieve my happiness.

Author notes

This is an interesting one, but I think it's ok. Not one of my best writes, but it works.

Is there anything wrong??!?!?1

Aye, our Heavenly Father loves us and we should be living in such a way that we can contemplate our return trip to Him with joy in our hearts. A beautiful poem, dear Poet.
