A Broken Story of Love, an Ending And A New Beginning

I have known you for so long
Together we had became somewhat like a song
Us together though, began to seem kind of wrong

Then you began to pretend and you lied
You were fake and cheated
Yet still, for you I still had cried
You are the one I had begun to have hated and despised

My life was permanently changed
All somewhat rearranged
I thought I couldn't deal
I figured I would never heal

Then I realized what to come
I then began to change some
You had made me stronger
A person who could hold on longer

All the words that were said...
I shed a tear every now and then
Just for the memories in my head
For what I though could have been
And the good times we laughed
The hard times we went through
It simply wasn't meant to be, for this I know is true

I still wish for you and I the best
Now to begin life's true test
I will still be here though, all through the rest


I have now healed and mended
Although through it I know you had pretended
Your brought to our love an ending
Now I long for a new beginning
You are still a very dear and good friend
You will always be until the very end.

    Hmmmm, sometimes friends can be complex like that. -ehem-
    All in all, very good write, I liked the flow of the poem it went together well.
