Water echoes in the gutters
My mind there, my water
All the same
Sky of ash fallen over us
My own dark cloud, your twisted storm
Yet, all in the mind
It's a Black Monday
There is much to pay
I stare harder
Hell to pay
I see the rain
Hell to break; break loose
I see past the rain
And I feel it leak; leak on me
Another Black Monday
I see her hang; hang her head so low
Invisible noose, she's killing me
I see the sky bleed
I see her body; body so fragile- break
I see the blackness crash
And I see her eyes; eyes of tears
Eyes of fear
I see the rain once more
And I feel it leak; leak from her eyes
And the sky
I hear the silence; silence too loud
Living a Black Monday
The sky breaks, turmoil and wrath
And her wails shake the earth asunder
Fire falls from God
And the sky bleeds black
I see her skin fall off
Graceful
And the wind howls; howls bones
The violence of gray, Black Monday
Hail smashes the panes; the pains
Glass cuts her through and through
Jigsaw; pieces, puzzle, mystery
And the sky bleeds once more
Her screams, her tears; tears us apart
I watch her
Dust; dust as she is
And I see her float away
Gone
Blood on the grass
Another Black Monday has come to pass
Author notes
