I was a day behind
I left my thoughts in yesterday
I might have lost my mind.
I thought I'd see tomorrow,
But I can't find today
If I'm quite so lucky
I'll get there anyway.
My socks are on my fingers
My hair fell off my head
I forgot my calendar
And now my days are dead.
Author notes
So I don't know if this happens to everyone, but I find myself having to constantly remind myself, waite.... it's 2008? And then I wonder happened to all those days... And then you get old, and you lose it if you're like my great grandmother and no one would know just to meet you that you had led this totally amazing life. You're just this crazy old woman who wears socks on your fingers if the mood strikes you.
hey, no fear, say what you like.

Excellent
A very good write, indeed. Imagery, rhythm and rhyme are just fine. Your title, "Yesterday", reminded me of an old song with the same title, I believe it was sung by the Beatles. A link in a moment: http://www.lyrics007.com/The%20Beatles%20Lyrics/Yesterday%20Lyrics.html

not bad
here is my honest opinion: I feel some lines are a little cliche, like line 6 and/or 8. Try and find other less used words as your symbols, try a thesarus as an excersize.
This comment is not meant to bash but to encourage so don't get your 'back' up.
Keep writing

Yeah, i wonder where the time/days keep going as well; like one day its Monday, the next day its the end of the year
This poem is really quaint and the words sang themselves in my head as i read them... like a song.
Nice writing
