My feet
kiss the floor
and hug it,
wrestle with it.
With bursts
of fiery energy
I force my
legs into the air -
a leap of faith.
Silent -
until broken.
My black slippers
glide gracefully
across the
scuffed, black
slippery surface -
like shooting stars
in the galaxy.
A floor filled with
memories.
May more leaps of faith
cross this universe.
