I hope you've convinced your friend to stay. Too many good poets are leaving and most of it is because of a few bad seeds.

Those poems are a beautiful reminder to us all, Wanda.
That's what I'm here for, to learn, to write, and hopefully to move someone like you consistently do.
Love ya, hope life is easing up on you hon.
    Thinking about you.

    nice, i think

if this is a note to a friend it is not for us, but if you give us the tale, story, yarn or whatever in a poem like thing and use the note as a tag or up front; you give us all a piece of you and the caring that you have for your friend. this kind of poem is good but this one leaves me with no more than a note.

Wanders...thanks so much for reminding me why I am here. I, too, have had "those times" when I've felt like "giving up" on writing and leaving AP. But, something inside won't let me. I'm in one of those slumps right now....struggling to find where my muse went. Reading the beautiful poems you pressed upon these pages brought the reason back to me like a tidal wave! I know now I MUST stay and write. It is so big a part of me. I am saddened that "a friend" has chosen to leave us, too. I hope they get the chance to read this, dear one. Your words are a gentle touch on the soul, my friend. I read every one, and am more determined than ever to begin writing again. Now....to lure my muse out of hiding...... Thank you, Wanders, for the constant gifts of beautiful poems you pen ~ they are as pebbles dropped in still ponds radiating from the center of your heart. Love ya, Woman!!

Thank you for this, Vlindertjie. You know why we are here in the first place (like i've said in my previous comment). I too have felt like leaving - often - and you know that at one stage i did take a sabbatical, but i'm here for poetry for the reasons you and i both know and respect about each other.

Thank you... it's always sad when someone dear leaves.. it saddens me. I think that is why i appreciated Zayra's comment to me when she said "you had the grace to hold yourself when those around you fell.." - just like you do, my friend.

I loved the atmosphere and emotions penned in each piece, and yes, I did read each one in its entirety. It was time well spent and some enjoyable reads. I am not surprised that you chose to share this particular selection. You have such a compassionate heart and you open it to all. Thank you for sharing your words with me once again Wanda and best wishes to in all of your endeavors. Keep that quill dipped in ink and ever ready for use dear poet.

I've looked over this a couple times and I'm still a little confused. Is this a poem, or a pre-note to a poem? I'm really not certain if I should give a critical review (or if even if one is called for).

    Nice colors though

    Good luck writing!
