Nightshade

I promised you I would build you,
A house on the sea shore.
And so I did,
Of shells and coral and broken glass.

I promised you I would grow you,
A garden.
And so I did,
Of thistle and thorn bushes and purple berries.

I promised you I would keep,
Your secret.
And so I did,
Through snow and rain and burning heat.

I promised you I would die,
For you.
And so I did,
Every day and hour and year.

Do you wonder now why the sea is made of salt?

Tell me what you think

This is a really nice piece. Very nice example of your work, particularly the whole dramatic last line thing which you do so well!
Great work hun, I love you,
Cadence, the blessed one. (My name until further notice, lol)
