My family.
They are my other leg
So much a part of me.
Every step I take
They guide me along.
My family.
Just one step ahead of me
In the path of life.
Glancing over their shoulder
To see me fall.
My family
Forgetting their path
That they are taking.
Reaching behind
Lending a hand.

Helping me to my feet again.
Not because of obligation
But because of love.
