In many versions of Psalms 83:18 in the King James Bible they have taken out Jehovah's name which is very sad.

Hi there FavouriteSeasons ... only just saw your comment today thankyou. yes it's true a lot of Bibles have replaced Gods name with the four capital letters LORD.
A lot of Bible still have God's name in the preface ... where they tell you they have replaced it ... also in some specific places.

When I was little I was told that if ever I got scared by 'mosters under the bed' all I had to do was say Jehovah's name and anything evil would be scared away by thier fear of Jehovah himself. Just thought I'd share that.

Yes I am a Jehovah's Witness. Used to be Church of England protestant, married to a Catholic. But I became so disillusioned when I saw all the killing and wars in the name of religion.
Nobody seemed to do what the bible said like Thou shalt not kill until i found the truth 24 years ago. I have never looked back, so hi sis and love you lots.

The name Jehovah, I first heard as young lad of 6-8 years, from my neighbors. after my mother died, me only six, I would stay with her from time to time as her mate went on different trips. So the name Jehovah, became familiar as my own name. for truth, He will bring changes that will affect all mankind, throughout the ages of time. Certainly a God, and Father, that provided His own Son as a Ransom, will show love to each of us and our love ones that have fallen asleep in death. The Bible also states: He cannot lie. so what he has promised will come true. I believe that.
May his spirit provide comfort on those days when sadness of thought over take you, even as it does me and many others. May he bless you and yours.

Hallo my little love, thank you for your comment on the name Jehovah. Did you get the chance to look it up in your Bible at Psalms 83:18?
Did you know that this was the first thing Jesus taught his followers to pray for when they say the Lords Prayer or the Our Father. Jesus said at Matthew 6:9 *Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified."
To sanctify Gods name it means to keep it holy, by living our lives in a way that brings glory to Gods name. I love you too little love lots and lots and I love your love and outspokeness that shows your love for God and his Beloved Son Jesus Christ.

A wonderful word with wonderful meaning. "He causes to become." Whatever we need, what stress we have, what trouble is in our way. Jehovah will become what is needed for us to endure through it all. Most excellent. And amazing how just by words and obviously use of the bible one can find family.

We recognised the Shepherds call
No matter where we are, we recognise the Great Shepherds call, as sheep know their shepherd we too recognise the call of our shepherd as sheep of his fold united in the faith we all speak with one voice, the sheep of his great pasturage, united in love the perfect bond of union.
