~~ The Wood Nymph~~ ( Gold Trophy)

Missing image
The woodbines entwine, wildflowers are in bloom
soft moss creeping on velvet feet
A distant bird sings "Tara Lynn
Sweet,sweet sweet sweet"
The wind sighs her name, it echoes through the hills
Her auburn hair is reflected from the sun and yellow daffodils
Silently she sits, cunning as a vixen in the glen
She is fair,delicate,lovely,a haunting illusion
the wood nymph Tara Lynn~

A brook caressingly sings "Sweet sweet sweet sweet
with an echo of rhymes
In a reverie of dreams she roams the forest
In misty appearance where the woodbine twines~

Looking down tangled paths each mystic night
Until mirthful breaths and fanciful breaths
Flee in the night~

What an absolutely beautiful poem and absolutely deserves the gold. Reminds me of fairy tales and mythology that was read to me as a child. Sweet and stunning it is.

Susan, no one writes fantasy with the feminine touches you do. The picture suits your words to a T! Ephemeral and lovely, my friend! I can almost hear her song whipering in the leaves.

sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet. When you combine nature with fantasy, you do so well as with this piece. The "Sweets" made me smile. It does sound like a bird chirping.
The whole piece was a delight.
