Zion!
Oh, my Zion!
Why hast thou forsaken me?
In this hour of desperation
Truth is nailed to a tree
Islam!
Oh, my Islam!
What is a man to do?
To take the water from chapped, bleeding lips
And a body black and blue
Eloi!
Jehovah! Allah! My God!
where is thy compassion now?
that allows the seeds of war and hate
to bear fruit upon barren ground
I have seen too much deprivation
in the eyes of a frightened child
and the gall of false accusations
allowed to spread like wild fire
I have walked upon ancient battlements
where now only flowers bloom
where once the ground was soaked in bloody war
filled with broken screams consumed
I have seen the wasted, burning ground
filled with marching, sandeled feet
and the air filled with the sounds of many wars
of arrows, guns and bombed out streets
I have watched as many precious lives
were simply taken on a whim
and seen the hapless innocents
cut down for their beliefs...

Great
I really really like this. You're making a very valid, slightly controversial point. And you make it well. There's a couple of areas where the flow isn't perfect, but overall a really good write. Thanks a lot for your entry.
