But she's not even alive!
Lucille is not here.
To annoy and connive.
Ricky's gone too,
And it pains me to look
Because Ricky is dead.
Those scenes can't be retook.
But there's still Little Ricky.
He's so sweet and glad.
But that was some years ago
Now he's old as my dad.
Back in the fifties,
Things were very clean.
You couldn't swear on tv,
That would be obscene!
They said things like "character",
"Golly" and "swell".
Stuff was so cheap,
But there was no AOL.

I Love Lucy is the best show ever!!! It's just as funny (if not more) as Everybody Loves Raymond (which I'm not allowed to watch) but it's CLLLEEEAAANNNN!!!

I haven't even seen it... but I agree with Mr. Princey who's comment I read. Fuzzles... I know Jethro the chemist might not like it, but I must come over your house and see it! P.S. Mr. Sky Prince Ireland watches public TV. One side of m brain says "SWEETNESS! I do too!" the other side says "Wow... PUBLIC TV?!?! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! LOSER!" Fortunately, I have the evil side of my brain saved for teachers. >=)

Why would old man Jethro not like it? He LOVES it when you come over to my house and be an influence on me! And you should see it, I have 6 episodes recorded and about 3 are on youtube (if not more).

I watch I LOVE LUCY all the time. Personally I think she's a woman of low self esteem and confidence because of all the lying she always does. My father says people who lie about themselves all the time are people with no belief in themselves. Also the thing with her jinxy behaivior in front of celebrities I find extremely annoying. But still I agree it was a highly popular show and being kept in syndication to this day it certainly deserves. I agree television was much cleaner in the fifties. If only I had been there because I HATE TV shows of today. With the exception of Public Television, I find TV today ignorant, violent, and above all else, disrespectful. A poor influence for young children. Anyway thanks for sharing this poem. I enjoyed it.
