Rain is my lover.
Her tender mists bathe,
pouring round
and through
the silence in me
drawing an urge.
Arms of Clematis
wrap a soul,
sweet heady breath,
sighs
violet truth,
and love heals me
in the night.

Clever title choice and I love your personification of the rain as your lover. "Pouring round and through the silence in me", "arms of Clematis wrap a soul" and "love heals me in the night" are favorite lines, but the entire piece is beautifully written poetry and a pleasure to read, Yellowdog! ~Elizabeth

"and love heals me
in the night."
This is so beautiful. A lover, their arms are very healing...esp to one's soul..
"Arms of Clematis
wrap a soul," - you chose my favorite vine & this line I love as well...
thank you so much for entering my contest

Wow, this is beautiful... rain, a lover. Very beautiful, Geo! Reminded me of a piece by Mary Oliver titled something like "Last night, the rain spoke to me".

I just love rain. Rain is my lover too, I should say! Good luck in Tara's contest.
