The world is big and beautiful, its open in everyway
Humans, they beleive they own it
Rule it, hold it is the palms of their hands
But they are closed living in a room with no doors
The box is always closed
We are blind and full of disgust
We hate what we cannot control, we hate who we cannot control
Nothing is simple, we create more and more drama
Without it people think that somethings wrong
Because if there is nothing to fight over
We have to make something to fight over
Bush has made us so in debt that we're its a black hole
This is a world that we have to have money to live
But we have none to live off of
When people say, "love them for their personality, not their looks"
Why are Gays turned down?
The people of this world say we have freedom
Then they choke you with lies, and choke you with all this religion
In schools at work on the streets on T.V. on the radio EVERYWHERE
God controls the way we live, the way we think.
In his name we have killed, we haved killed others because of HIM
We use him as our reason for crimes
We put our trust in him then we learn our little girl got molested
Your husband got shot in the head
Your wife got raped in a alle way and killed
Your son went to war thinking it was for his country when it's for money and control
And after a week or two he's dead killed but some fucked up man
Who commited a suicide, the tank and everything around went up is flames
The people think they can apologize, will that bring that back
And yet you don't question god, instead YOU ask HIM for forgiveness?
WHATEVER this world, the humans in it are nothing
But DISGUSTING pathetic beings here for nothing but destruction
There are girls, teens that would brutally beaten another because of a boy
She had three cucussions and shes bling in one eyes
Teenage boys decide because they don't like the way goths dress they can brutally...
Disgustingly beat this couple and kill the woman of the couple...
They only got a couple of years in jail for it????
They DESERVE life or even DEATH for it. It's disgusting and dumb
Where is this world going we're destroying it!!
We shouldn't have to worry bout that stuff
We should be more worried about Global Warming you know the stuff that
we don't have that much control over??
But we cannot....Humans are the most disgusting beings in this world
We are all going to pay for it too....

i loved the first half of it the most
and the part about if we dont have something to fight over we have to make something to fight about
great work this is truelly a great piece
this happens to be my most favorite subject ever talking about politics and global warming and what people are doing to our world

P.S you need to do a spell check on that there were a few that i caught but the only one i remember now is the one talking about concussions it is suppost to be blind i think
just to let you no another reason I love this poem is it touches home for me i was beaten and stuff when i was younger and now that my dad came home its be happening lately too

Wow that was truly deep. You hit a lot of topics in this, which I really appreciate. It was interesting. Hopefully you enjoyed this contest and writing this poem. It was something new for me, I usually hold contests that focus more on love, but this time I wanted to see how others felt about our world. Life has it's ways of revealing the small measures of life, right now I feel we are only seeing the Greatest measures of life to our existence. It is a scary thing, it truly is.
