We live in a world of suffering
No matter where we turn it's there
We try to keep on living
In this world of despair
Now we ask
The question,
Why?

Nice duette, This one for me is more straightforward than the other, so I shall attempt this one first, lol.
I see this as someone definitely questioning their own faith, and struggling to have enough of it to go on. Also a rhetorical question is the question why, as we all know the answer to that, it's "curiousity"
Hope you enjoyed my interpretation

Very good duette! The frame fits the theme with giving it just enough 'openess' at the end to reverse the question. Cleverly and well written for the most part.
Interpretation:
The writer is being confronted with an obvious
question while being honest enough to ask for the very reason for suffering and challenging life's circumstances. You address this well.
